Contributing Writer for PublicSafetyDegrees.com

About Becca:

Becca Gladden is a freelance writer with an extensive background in Emergency Medical Services. Becca became an EMT while attending college at the University of Arizona, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education. After graduating, she opted to pursue healthcare rather than teaching and worked full-time as an ambulance EMT. Two years later, Becca became a Certified Emergency Paramedic and was one of the first female paramedics in Arizona. She worked on one of two ambulances, often with an EMT partner, that covered a 9000-square-mile area outside the city limits (which was served by FD).

Becca continued to work as a paramedic, transitioning from the field to an Emergency Room medic, while attending nursing school. After graduating, she worked for the next seven years in various Level One and Level Two ERs in the Phoenix area. Her certifications included CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse), ACLS, ATLS, and PALS. Becca was an ER Charge Nurse, Shift Supervisor, and Interim Emergency Department Manager, and has been a guest lecturer in various EMT, paramedic, and nursing classes.

Away from EMS, Becca owns www.LimelightWriting.com, a communications company specializing in professional press release writing. She also covers NASCAR for a variety of media outlets at www.BeccaGladden.com and maintains a NASCAR blog at www.WriteSides.com. Additionally, she works at the Challenger Space Center of AZ as a Flight Director and serves as the organization's grant writer.

Becca is an adaptable writer with a broad range of interests, tackling topics from racing to restaurant reviews and politics to party planning.
